Now you see it. Now you don't. But how does a Smart Home actually work? 🤔 It all begins with the 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸. Most control devices are consolidated— think TV set-top boxes, Apple TV, sound amplifiers — into a central location in the home; within the rack. Everything is then wired up together and connected to a control module, in this case by @Control4, which then "talks" to and orchestrates the actions of all devices. This type of setup typically relies on high-speed Cat 6 data cabling to communicate with peripherals around the rest of the house (lights, TVs, etc) which is super reliable in comparison to a completely wireless setup reliant on WiFi.
