Aptly named by our team, this project features a large portal-like window in the pool, transporting you into a world of entertainment and relaxation.
As an extension to an existing property, the main aim of this area was to create a serene and fun entertainment zone featuring a swimming pool, gym, sauna, treatment room, home cinema and guest suites.
Originally, the basement level of the extension was designed to have two large spaces for the gym and cinema, with a large opening between the two and one large screen TV positioned for viewing across both rooms. After discussing with the Interior Designer, Sinead Kelly-Herbert, the homeowners visited the IndigoZest showroom to experience the benefits of a dedicated entertainment space and explore their options to make the most of both rooms.
Having previously underestimated the power of a properly designed room, the owners were blown away by the experience, ultimately deciding to split the two rooms, creating dedicated spaces for the cinema and the gym—with suitable AV in both.
Luxury Cinema Room
Designed to offer an unparalleled cinematic experience, every detail of the cinema room was meticulously crafted to ensure the highest quality in both aesthetics and functionality.
The cinema features bespoke seating, state-of-the-art audio-visual systems, and a design that perfectly balances comfort with sophistication. The use of ambient lighting, acoustic treatments, and advanced projection technology transforms the space into the ultimate cinema room.
Gym and Other Spaces
The gym was designed as a separate space with its own tailored AV setup, allowing the homeowners to enjoy music or TV while working out. To maintain the aesthetic appeal of the extension, invisible audio solutions were specified for the gym, pool, and spa. This was especially key in the pool area, where a feature Venetian plaster ceiling was included to reflect the light and pool.
Integrated Home Automation
Given the plans to integrate the main home into the home automation system at a later stage, the Control4 system was selected for its scalability and reliability. This choice ensures that the homeowners can easily expand their smart home ecosystem in the future.
One element required at this stage to have integration with the existing house was the inclusion of the door intercom, security and networking and wi-fi – all possible with Control4.
